Professional Trustee Services.

There are several different types of Trust, each of which offer varied benefits, and require different legal duties from the Trustees managing them.

Our professional Trustee Services team currently manages over £1.1 Billion in Trust Assets for our clients.

This can be a complex area of law and ensuring that the Trust is managed correctly is of vital importance. While many people take on the responsibility of being a Trustee they can still benefit from working with a professional Trustee, like Fidelis Legal.

What does a Professional Trustee do?

Professional and Protected Trust Management

The extent and complexity of the role depends on the type and potential restrictions of the Trust and the assets held.  For example, a Trustee of a ‘Discretionary Trust’ is not only responsible for looking after the assets, making suitable investments, but also responsible for deciding when to make capital and income payments to beneficiaries. Trustees are also responsible for declaring and accounting for tax on Trust investments.

It is this attention to detail, wealth of experience, and depth of knowledge which our clients depend on in the management of their Trusts.

In choosing Fidelis Legal Services Limited there is the additional reassurance that it is not a single individual acting as Trustee, but a limited company with the responsibilities and protections this provides. This also means that there is always someone available to act as the Trustee, unlike if an individual is appointed.
